Students and Parents -
We are so excited to welcome you back for another great school year! Mrs. Bone and I are both so excited to be working with such a great bunch of students for another year. We are also looking forward to getting to know some new friends :) We have had a great summer spending time with our families and hope that you did too! We will be using this blog to post information about what we'll be doing in class, reminders about upcoming events, as well as extra practice opportunities. Our hope is that parents and students will stop by often.
Your 1st challenge: Leave a comment on this post telling us something fun you did this summer. Each student who leaves a comment by Friday will get 10 Math Bucks! Want even more? Have a parent comment too and you'll get double - that's 20 Math Bucks!

ReplyDeleteI hope that today went as smooth as expected, being it was the first day of school! I am excited that we are blessed to have two wonderful teachers once again. ReplyDeleteOne of the things i did this summer was that my family all went to Wild Adventures theme park in valdosta Georgia.it was really fun because we pet animals and we also played on really scary rides one of them was scary my dad says my face was priceless when we got off the ride it was awesome anyway.we also went to the water park we went on kona cliffs and my family did Blackfoot Falls oh what a NIGHTMARE!!!!you go up really fast and you yank to the side a just Zoom straight down to a big pond and a wall of water flys in the air.it falls on you and you get soaked.we did lots of rides i wanna tell you about some day but my post is so long i hope you see it!!!!bye!see you in class tomarrow!(:
hi mrs.macknzie...this is alexis cantrell i had the best summer i got to see my family and saw my new cousin bryle and went to a birthday party and went swimming at a water park that was also im love the water slides and swimmed at a regular pool and just hanged out the rest of the summer....you the best teacher bye see you tomorow

My aunt and cousins live in Valdosta, so I've been to Wild Adventures a few times - that's where I went on my 1st roller coaster (I was 19 and in college...shh, don't tell anyone that I was too chicken to go on one before that!). Glad you had a great summer and excited to have you back in our class!

ReplyDeleteWe had a great summer:) It went by way too fast! A couple of weeks ago we went tubing at Ichetucknee springs. That water is really cold!
Sure was alot of fun!
I did a few fun things this summer. I had the most fun going fishing with my granddaddy. We stayed in a trailer and went fishing all day!

ReplyDeleteOur family had a wonderful summer. We went to Yellowstone National Park. We saw bison, wolves, bear, elk, deer, coyotes, badgers, marmots, chipmunks, moose and many more 4 legged critters. We are very excited to be back to school and are thrilled to have two great teachers again. We are looking forward to learning many new things.

ReplyDeleteI had a great summer. I went on an amazing trip. I had a chipmunk eat cookies out of my hand it bit me too. I went up over 13,000 feet high in a tram on top of a mountain.

ReplyDeleteThis is Lauren and over the summer i had a blast. I went to the beach alot, with all of my sisters. Sometimes i just stayed home and play a video game called nazi zombies o_O. I also helped my mom cook some hot tamales. MMMM they were good! And later i went to visit my brother for family day at a school called FLYCA. It was super hot. but i still had an awesome time.

ReplyDeleteThis is Jakanah again. I forgot to tell you how my summer was. I had a blast in Atlanta. I went to a concert to see Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, and Llyod. Chris Brown was AWESOME! I rode the train for the first time with my mom and sister. We had a BLAST! We ate at the Gladys Knight resturant I met her sister who was really nice.

@ Alexandra - I'll let you know about eating in the classroom soon! Roman is doing good - he's getting so big and talks a lot now! He learned how to ride his bike this summer and LOVES it!

ReplyDeletethis is jairus dad, i had an awsome time this summer spending time with jairus and his siblings. we visited family in indiana, michigan, and missouri. jairus also took up swim lessons and golf.

ReplyDeleteThis is Jonathan Nixon's Dad. I spent alot of time this summer going to baseball tournaments with my oldest son, J.D. At one tournament, Jonathan even got paid to go get all the foul balls and return them to the dugout!

I had lots of fun.I went to the Flea market & the farmers market.I went to my friend lanas and i Hung out with Aimee All summer.I hang out at home and practice math and reading.And Aimee spent the night and we made tents and played barbies alot and just slept down there and we ate popcorn and chips and gulped down all different sodas.We made smoothies and random danced and we also dressed up and put on alot i mean ALOT of make up.I hung out with my Nanny and played in pools.Bye see you in class
